AP - Today, the red haired comedy actress celebrates her 100th birthday. And in honor of her centennial celebration, Google makes a homepage doodle of Lucille ball from her I Love Lucy TV show. That means we will be seeing more black and white in our homepages. Also Blue Water Productions will be giving recognition to her through Comics: Lucille Ball. It's written by Jaymes Reed and drawn by Patricio Carbaja.
She started her career as a movie actress while she was still in her twenties for Hollywood movie studio MGM and then after that she shifted to TV shows. I Love Lucy - it was one of her popular TV shows . It aired from 1951 - 57. She was also a star of Du Barry was a Lad, Panaman Lady,Without Love, Annabel takes a tour and many more.
Ball was born on Aug. 6, 1911 and died on 1989 in LA.
